Back in Havana

Back in Havana again, at a hotel for the internet. I forgot to mention that last night in Vinales, I think I met some of Cuba's horse racing community. I did meet Mr Ron Collins and I believe he has a brother called Tom Collins. A very nice man.

Vinales Day 3

Sitting in the city square waiting for my 2pm bus back to Havana, very frustrating as this computer keyboard and mouse freezes between 30 sec and 20 min and you never know. have to reboot and start again. That or the Internet drops out instead. I will try to get fixed when I get to the US.

3 more days in Cuba, seeing friends on Saturday that are arriving Friday night. Should be fun.

Vinales Day 2

Yesterday was a relaxer day, after posting my internet stuff, I sat at the bar and proceeded to get through about 8 very strong Mojitos, then staggered off for some late dinner and finally to bed for about 10 hrs. Slow start to today. Maybe Helado later, staying off the Mojitos for now.

Will try to load pics from yesterday later and maybe a movie. Internet is not coping well.

Vinales- Cuba day 5

Well I have arrived in Vinales, although why I am not sure. It is a popular tourist destination and is about 3 hrs by bus from Havana, to the Sth East. It is a small town, surrounded by steep and pretty hills, I suppose it has some charm. I have booked into a local B&B (Breakfast extra) for CUC25 a night, about 25 Euros. Internet access via wifi is only available at the town square. Like Havana you need to buy a card with username and password, but these last 5 hrs. I don't think my computer will last that long in any one session. No photos yet, nothing has taken my fancy yet.

Cuba day 4

Hi, quick note today, explored old Havana this morning/afternoon. Sorted tickets to US on Monday and US ETSA Visa arrangements. Running out of battery and internet time. Off to Vinales tomorrow back Thursday.  Will post more when back to Internet land. Cannot even book things on internet here as states not from that country. Poor Cubans, everybody is against them.
