Palmyra, Perth, Western Australia

Yes,

I am back on the road again, but only for a relatively short time.

Joy and I flew from Melbourne to Perth on Sunday and are staying in a suburb called Palmyra, which is very close to Freemantle. Joy is teaching Tapestry here for a few days before we head north on Friday.

Yesterday I got some new sunglasses (Spotters) which Joy has agreed to buy me for Christmas, good thing too as they were expensive. After buying the glasses I headed for Scarborough Beach where  the water was a beautiful blue /green and the sand white. I dipped my toes in the sea at the edge of the waves and the beach. It was very nice.

I tried setting up a time lapse movie of the beach while I was there and it worked sort of OK, the focus was not right, it was not focussed at infinity and the waves and sea looks slightly blurry. I will try again at another spot today.

After the beach I met my brother and his wife for lunch, we went to a restaurant at Hillary's by the sea and then checked out the lighthouse.

Today is a blank slate but later tonight it is back to my brothers for dinner with my nephew Ben.

  1. You look like just got off your Harley. Last time I was in Palmyra (Syria) there was plenty of sand but no water!!!
