Because of China's blocking of social media Doug won't be able to blog for a few weeks. He'll try to send emails from time and time and they might come through me. When he can get back on blogger this will restart. So watch email and this space. He's currently in Shigatse and says things are going really well but the altitude's a real killer. He loves yas all. Of course he didn't say that, but I know he thought it. Regards, Billy Boy (Bill Mansell)
Hey Doug - love the pictures. Very envious of your travels! Look forward to more. Stay safe. Myles
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill,
ReplyDeleteI have also have a short conversation with Doug this evening (22 May). He is still in Shigatse, where they had a rest day. He said the accommodation was good and the food so-so -- bony chicken curry. The weather has been fine and he is feeling fairly good, although the cold he picked up in Kathmandu has been a little aggravated by the altitude. Arrives Lhasa by Sunday.
