Hi Doug, just catching up with your blog - a great read and really enjoying the photos and videos. Such a barren landscape for a long while. Our latest favourite restaurant in Westgarth is Nepalese, called Base Camp. We have had momos there several times and Malcolm always has a couple of cans of the Everest Beer. In fact we now buy it from a bottle shop in Northcote! Safe travels Birgit
Hi Doug. An amazing time - blog captures the feel of the place and what you are up to. Terrific. Glad you came through the ride which sounds tough. Now that you've done the altitude training, you should be ready to run a marathon! The debating in Lhasa is like a training video for the Public Service! Hope you have/had a great birthday lunch.
like the yaks - Doug size ! & the room is fantastic, all that colour after the arid landscape & impressive views.
