Today we had a sleep in, then we went exploring. Firstly to BMW Welt (World), a modern building that was still being constructed last time I was here in Munich (2006). It is a shrine to BMW and has a large display of cars, motorbikes and merchandise, including the two British Marques, Mini and Rolls Royce, that BMW now own and develop.
The name says it all, she is not very big.
BMW's electric cars, including a concept electric X5.
Carola, is trying to swing getting either an i8 or i3 as a loan car for the weekend so I can drive an electric car. It will be great if it happens, but one should have modest expectations.
BMW's little Issetta, which was driving around within the Building, offering rides. I just thought don't even think about it.
BMW's bike for the Ladies (or girls) the F800
Malcolm, for you, a K1600
Inside the building.
What a want for Christmas, a GS1200
An F650 I think
A concept bike
Another K1600
After BMW Welt, we went across the street to the BMW Museum.
The museum bookshop section for bikes, notable absent is a book by Damien Cook on BMW engines, yet to be published.
A 1972 Supercar (above). The touring exhibition was for Rolls Royce. See below.
Not the very poor fit of the bonnet of this 2006 Phantom, not good enough!!!
The Ratskeller building in the Marienplatz in the centre of Munich.
it is like a big cuckoo clock.
home now having a nice pasta dinner.
You should get Joy (Lucky Bastardess) a mini badge, just in case she forgets.
