Went into Ystad, which is about 35k from here. By the way if you search for Hedmans Krog (which is a restaurant) in Google maps for Sweden, the B&B that is "here" is in a Old School house about 100-150 meters past the restaurant on the left as you are leaving the coast.
Ystad is the setting for the show Wallander and is nice little town with a big port that services ferries into Baltic destinations. The local cafe and tourist info centre have street guides to all the Wallander shooting locations, we looked at a couple and thought that is enough. We did find a place to do some washing, as stated in earlier posts, public laundrettes are a rarity in Scandinavia and you may need to travel 30-50 km to find one. Most of the Camping grounds seem to have one but they are usually not available unless you stay there. We found one at the Marina which I imagine is for the Yachties to use. There were boats from everywhere at the Marina, German, Italian, Scottish, French etc. I got adventurous and put a toe in the Baltic Sea, but I don't think I would want to have swim. A bit cold and full of weed.
Have not seen the Swedish Chef, I guess he must be out picking lingon berries.
Also, I did not bump into "Saga", from "the Bridge" in Malmo, but wanted to have a "where's Saga" T-shirt to walk around in. Apparently. the Bridge is very expensive to use, around 700 Sk to cross and back to Copenhagen, thats about $105. The local advice is drive slowly and enjoy the view to get your money's worth.
Arno, I found a System Borgalet grog shop in Ystad today and asked about Catalogues. I was told they were stopped 3 months ago and now everything is online.
