After Rijkmuseum, we went a photography gallery but did go in as it looked ordinary, then onto Flower market, then a walk through red-light district (very tame), maybe it is different at 2am in Amsterdam (another music reference), then came back to Heeze on the train arriving back about 9pm.
Julie tries to keep weed out of her garden! The photos are fab, fab, fab and then there's one of the Stones. Makes us homesick for the Netherlands. Why didn't you publish shots from the Oude Kerk district, or are they for a private viewing? Which I'm very much looking forward to. Love Amsterdam.
ReplyDeleteYou've got me with the 'extra' music reference but I'm so happy to be reminded of Maccas next to the sex shop. In 2006 Julie and Lachie went to the loo at that Maccas, every traveller's back-stop. I waited outside. In that sex shop window were two inflated sex dolls. One 'normal' the other a mermaid. The normal one had a sign on her saying 'three fully functioning holes'. The other had two signs: one saying 'looking for a friend at the beach this summer?' and the other 'one fully functioning hole'. I have no regrets in life but not taking a photo that day comes close.
