Last Full Day in Sweden

Yes, it is Saturday and our last full day in Sweden. This morning, we went back to Ystad again as there was an exhibition involving textiles on at one of the 12th century churches. I just tagged along.

The car identity quiz generated a bit of interest, so I have a few more pics today for those with an interest, to sleuth out what they are. Respondents are best to reply via blog comment rather than email, then we all can see what is being pondered.

Thanks to Arno, who identified that Caravan as

"The green caravan is a SMV, 1970-ties, Marianne' parents had the same caravan in the seventies , only taillights were different. They were a time ahead in those days.

Smv a metal-machine producer how had the idea to make caravans."

Apart from that, most of todays pics are textile/tapestry related.

A Hedgehog Crossing Road Sign, don't see that every day

The Yellow & Blue of the Swedish Flag, typical of the south

Can you identify the Make and Model of this Fire Engine (Ystad)

This is a Husqvarna bike, but which model

This is Volvo, no guess required

The ducks and the Lake in Ystad near the Church

Please Identify make and Model

Does anyone know what this purple flowered crop is?

  2. From what I can understand the textiles were mostly made in this region of Sweden, mostly for dowries, some handed down 10 generations !! Some in museum collections, some private. Mostly tapestry woven, the tradition here being to weave from the back, on a low warp loom - hence one photo of back with interlocking, (there was even a weaver demonstrating) Note the tapestry of dancers has a graphed cartoon & the religious books with tapestry covers.
