Well I made it to Beijing on
the Lucky G88 Fast train. Even with the fast train, it has taken all
day to get here. I left Xian hostel about 10am and negotiated the Subway
to Xian north Station, then Fast train here arrived at 5.45 pm and then
30 Taxi queue and another 30 min ride, I got here about 7.15 pm.

is some pics of the train, I had seat 1A, which was the window seat
just above the numbers on the side of the train. Only catch was this was
the back of the train. Good seats, time went quick enough, only 1 stop
on the way for 3 mins.

Video, moving at 311 kmh, although does not seem that fast. Train is
smooth and quiet. Why is it so difficult for successive useless govt’s
to put some of these in Australia. The Chinese just do it and there are
lots of trains.
Need to find a bank now and pay some cash. Credit cards not widely accepted here.
