Quiet day, Panda tour fell through so amused myself talking to the Hostel cat and got some laundry done.
Tomorrow, off to Beijing on the G88 (aka Lucky) very fast train.

I
was wrong about there being no music last night. The Chinese equivalent
of Murph and the Magictones started up promptly about 10pm with a
stirring rendition of “Witchy Woman” and other assorted classics. A new
band has started up tonight, I think they may be channelling Iron
Butterfly. I was tempted to venture into the basement last night but
thought, why ruin a perfectly good perception.
