Shrewsbury - England

Hi all, not many Pics today, I was driving so did not take many pics.

We left Aberystwyth about 9am this morning and slowly meandered through the welsh roads over to Shrewsbury, no more than a 100 mile. First stop was a place called Machynlleth, no idea how to pronounce, where there was a market on, then via other places with unpronounceable names to emerge in England and onto Shrewsbury.

We stopped in a steep valley where lots of walkers would head off from to look at sheep with 2 legs longer than the other 2. We got talking to some bikers out for a run (it was very nice day) who were waiting the jets to come through the valley. Apparently this valley is popular with RAF pilots. Sure enough, just before we were about to a leave a fighter jet screamed past overhead. It was so fast and initially silent, there was no chance to get a photo. But we did see it.

Later that morning, at a lake near a railway line, I was taking a pee when another jet screamed past, missed that as well. We also heard the jets yesterday when we were on the steam train. Wales has lots of jets whizzing around.

Arrived at our hosts place in Shrewsbury about 4.30 (Marilyn & Frank). Marilyn was a student at West Dean when Joy was working there about 10 years ago.
