Praha - Prag -Prague

Yes, you  guessed it, we have arrived in Prague. Is it everything it is cracked up to be? In a word "Yes" Like Budapest, but on steroids. It is also a surprisingly Big city, it covers 500 Sq Km which is not huge, but bigger than Munich or Frankfurt or a bit less than 5 times Geelong. A lot to walk around.

Today we did a tour of the castle,  a quick whip around the old town and short river cruise. This was followed up by a walk through town to the  Astronomical Clock. It dates back to 1410 and is the third oldest clock and the oldest still working. Like Cesky Krumlov, large parts of Prague are UNESCO heritage listed. Large parts of Prague are like Moscow, London and Paris in that they are covered in Prada, Gucci, Hugo Boss, Cartier, Diesel and others.

After finding a hotel (with parking) we headed back into town to the Earnest Hemingway bar, could not resist  after the local Prague tip off from Peter & Carol (ex Telstra)  and because my last boss at Defence, used to joke to his kids that I reminded him and looked like Earnest Hemingway. I had a Hemingway Daquiri, followed by long drink, Joy had a scotch from Oban.  This is the sort of place where you can give someones Corporate Credit Card a really good working out. Afterwards we had dinner  and some fine czech beer.

This Statue belongs  (or rather should belong) in the Station in the Moscow Underground. Notice which bits are shiny (like the Dogs nose)

 Afterwards, at dinner
