Another Day in BA

Friday,  11 March

Today was a catch up day in Buenos Aries to follow up on the interesting sites from the bus tour yesterday.  It started late morning with a walk down to the Florida avenue, a very long street with no cars that is nearly all shopping, similar to Las Ramblas in Barcelona. From there I caught to subway and Bill walked to the Plaza de Mayo, a major square/civic place. There were protests going on so cops everywhere controlling things. Bill and I found each other there easily and then we caught the subway together along the Avenue de Mayo up to the National Congress building. All closed off but very grand.

After this it was time for lunch, another fabulous steak, very tasty.  After lunch, about 3pm, I caught a taxi back to the hotel. Bill kept wandering for a while but soon came back to the hotel.

About 7pm we wandered out again for some more beers (Dr Boras) and then found a "all you can eat" place across the road from the hotel. Food was great but we both ate too much, especially after such a good lunch.

Todays Pics.
