Arrived Buenos Aires

Finally in Buenos Aires, after spending a very wet morning in Puerto Iguazu, where it bucketed rain all day. It was a good thing we got to see the falls yesterday as it would have been most unpleasant today. I got sunburnt yesterday.

After breakfast it was back to the rooms for showers and bag packs before checking out at 10.am, but did not need to leave until 2.pm so we sat in the dining room patio and watched the rain. We all had coffee, Fernet (an Argentine drink very bitter that is mixed with coke, which made it like peppermint to me). It is a sort of Chinotto but different.

We got on the plane a bit late about 4pm and arrived in Buenos Aires about 5.30 -6 pm.  Then taxi to our boutique hotel which so far seems very nice and well located. Buenos Aires is a grand city and a big scale, it out grands all the big european cities with its big wide avenues and grand parks and plazas, very impressive. Tomorrow we are planning to take the grand tour on the red bus, but tonight it was check in, get some dinner and relax.
