Jellystone National Park

Howdy,

Well we are in another country, (USA) and I might have to get a new passport, this one is filling up.

Today was a travel day, leaving a cloudy and cool Montreal about 5.30 am this morning to get the bus to the airport, (yes party goers were still straggling about on the streets as we left). We cleared US customs and immigration at Montreal airport before getting on the plane, meaning a hassle free change over and transfer at Minneapolis airport mid morning (lost 1hr in time diff) and then on to Bozeman Montana (lost another hr in time diff), arriving about 12.35pm local time. Our rental car (aka Monster Truck) was ready and waiting for us. It was even red.

After collecting the truck, we headed into Bozeman for a quick look and some lunch, before heading to West Yellowstone (about 90 mile south of Bozeman), our destination for tonight and at the western edge of Yellowstone National park.

Our Hotel, The Three Bears

Joy gets a bit Grizzly somedays, thought she should go in here (a bar)

Them Bears been a huntin'

The Ho Hum Motel, as you would expect, they had vacancies, but I don't think they cared.

Local Beers (there appears to be lot of Gun totin' republican supporters in these parts, I think they are scarier than the bears.

Tomorrow we head into the Park and down to Jackson, where we have a room booked.

  2. Love the photos and the truck - does it have a gun rack?

    1. I am sure one could be fitted, probably a dealer option.
