Montreal Day 2

Today we explored more of Montreal, including using the buses and the metro system. This city is a bit bigger than I expected. Today I explored more of the downtown/commercial area and there was still a lot more that I didn't see. Joy checked out some of the Arts areas.

We had a great vietnamese lunch today, this place is very multicultural. However, the pricing here gives me the shits, you see a price advertised, then you you have to add 15% tax, then another 3% tax and then if it involves any hint of service, they expect another 15% tip on top of that. The other thing here that shits me is all the street people begging for change, it is as bad as Melbourne. You can't walk 20 meters on some streets without someone hassling you for change.

Here are our limited pics, it rained for most of the day but all agree it is unseasonably warm for this time of year.

  2. Don't start with those beggars that may ask for an extra 15%. (The beggars here in Melbourne are doing realllly well, as there is thousands of Jehovah's Witness' in town for a convention) Great to see a hat on yesterday. Anything that covers any part of your head is better for everyone. Great to see a smile in your photos Doug, probably haven't seen you smile in a photo since you met those girls in short skirts in Ulan Bator. Tristan
