Rangoon Aromas

Afternoon update.

I went for a walk in search of a pagoda, and anything else that Rangoon had to offer. Well I was not disappointed.

Ah, the aromas of asia, this place smells like Asia used to, it has everything from burning food to more biological smells, all pungent.

P.s They Drive on the Right side of the road here, but most of the cars are right hand drive, go figure that one.

  1. Road side was swapped over (overnight) in the seventies from advice from a fortune teller. Apparently when you get out of a bus you step into traffic!!

  2. No, I notice the busses do let you out kerbside, at least the central city busses. If they swapped in the 70s, 40 years ago, why are most of the (modern) cars here still right hand drive. Maybe they get them from India or Thailand, which are both RHD.

  3. The decision to switch was taken in 1970. Most of the more modern cars are actually second-hand imports from Japan, which uses RHD vehicles. Must be a bit tricky over-taking. -- Bolshoi Brat

  5. Sweden changed sides about the same time but you never hear such comments about there.
